The Thunder Bay Border Cats baseball organization is one of 16 teams within the Northwoods League (NWL), and is one of North America’s premier summer collegiate baseball leagues. The NWL offers the highest level of competition and playing facilities to the best of North America’s collegiate baseball players. We are the only Canadian team within the league and have been in operation since 2003. The League plays a 70-game schedule, travels in charter buses, provides three meals a day for visiting teams, and the opportunity for a player to be scouted by a Major League Baseball team. Business operations of the League are similar to that of professional Minor League teams. Game promotions, merchandising, corporate sales, group outings, ticket & concession sales; as well as host family and player relations all contributing to an affordable, family-oriented entertainment experience.
