All Things Possible Medical Fundraising
www.allthingspossible.orgEvery year, millions of Americans are impacted by some form of movement disability. Being restricted to a wheelchair, whether it’s been someone’s reality for their entire life or they’ve been thrust into this new normal after years of mobility, the hard truth is that reality is often unkind to those who cannot move for themselves, as well as their loved ones and caretakers. All Things Possible Medical Fundraising fills a huge gap that is not covered by Insurance or Medicaid. We purchase and gift wheelchair accessible vans needed to transport disabled individuals. Their parents and caregivers need to be able to safely get them to their medical and therapy appointments, as well as visit family, attend school activities, or just drive around to see Christmas lights. When we present a wheelchair van to a child who can't walk, we often ask where they want to go first in their van. The answer one would expect from a child is probably an amusement park like Disneyland or a vacation spot. But what we hear is "Walmart" or "Publix" or "Grandma's house" or someplace that able bodied children easily go to everyday. They want normalcy, which their parents are anxious to provide. Our goal is to present at least 10 families per year with preowned wheelchair vans with ramps. These used vans are now averaging approximately $35,000 - $38,000 each, making them unaffordable for families already dealing with increased medical expenses. (Brand new wheelchair vans cost over $90,000)! We pride ourselves on the fact that we are good stewards of your donations. Unusual as it is in the nonprofit world, over 90% of funds received go toward buying these wheelchair vans. Additional information as well as the stories about some of the families we have served are available on our website: www.AllThingsPossible.org. All Things Possible Medical Fundraising is a non-profit 501(c)(3) South Carolina charity.
