BDMG Cultural – Instituto Cultural Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais – Development Bank of Minas Gerais Cultural Institute – is a nonprofit organization that works on a multidisciplinary basis in order to foster, register and publicize the cultural processes in Minas Gerais. We understand culture as a fundamental tool for development as it is intrinsically related to the production of knowledge, to the historical, emotional and symbolic shaping of the individuals, to innovation and creativity as well as to the various productive sectors of the society. Based in Belo Horizonte and with a statewide reach, BDMG Cultural has been funded by Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais – Development Bank of Minas Gerais – since 1988. We work in a structured way through programs – and in the convergence among them – in the areas of music and visual arts and by producing and sharing knowledge through seminars, publications and contents on our website. We have partnered with cultural producers, institutions and artists from Minas Gerais state in the development of their actions Our collections – of visual arts and publications – are available on our website for the purpose of producing knowledge and ensuring the collective efforts to maintain our memory We want to work together with the society and share with them lasting and life changing cultural experiences.
