FAWECAM is defined as a non-profit making national chapter by which the pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation FAWE operates to empower girls and women through the advocacy, research, and practice of gender-responsive education. The association envisages the greater (increased) and better (more substantial/gender-responsive) participation of girls and women in education for improvement of collective Cameroonian livelihood and national development. With the above vision, members of this association see it as their mission to: research and advocate for gender-transformative education practice, influence government policy, raise public awareness and build the capacity of stakeholders of education in Cameroon by demonstrating best practices.
