The Triangle/Eastern Region of North Carolina has become one of the fastest growing areas in the country for high-tech commerce. It is a thriving region for industries including technology, education, agribusiness, tourism, film, aerospace, life sciences, medicine, energy, commerce and defense. Bridging these distinct markets will require focused and targeted collaborations. We have established the Triangle Chapter of the British American Business Council to help address that need. The BABC is the pre-eminent transatlantic business network, with 22 Chapters and 2,000 member companies based in major centers throughout North America and the United Kingdom. The BABC is dedicated to helping companies connect and build their business on both sides of the Atlantic. Our sister chapter in Charlotte, which has been established for 20 years, will partner with us in support of our goal to help promote bilateral trade and investment between North Carolina and the UK. The aim of this Chapter of the British-American Business Council is to build on the close professional, business, and cultural relationships between the United States and the United Kingdom and to act as a catalyst to help maintain and further strengthen the strong and lasting trade partnerships between our two countries.
