Nowadays an increasing number of areas, including the industry 4.0, medical, automotive and logistic sectors, are exploiting the use of robotics to revolutionize traditional processes to maximise the efficiency and the affidability in the achievement of their tasks. The field of the mobile robots is in full evolution thanks to the introduction of novel technologies related to artificial intelligence which can be deeply exploited to define a new category of vehicles called Intelligent Guided Vehicles (IGV). The implementation of such solutions on forklifts enable the possibility to move materials in not-structured environments providing also the possibility to the user to be assisted during the most disparate operations. Dolomiti Robotics aims to make robotics as a service to humans, focusing on the development of technologies that provide the robot the possibility to recognize the surrounding environment, distinguish between fixed, moving obstacles, persons and walls. The company also designs sophisticated algorithms for the movement of vehicles based on innovative real-time planning techniques that allow the robot, on the basis of environmental assessments, to autonomously navigate in complex environments even in presence of unexpected obstacles and physical impediments perceiving the safety of the humans, which has always the maximum priority. Furthermore, it studies and develops advanced solutions for the Human Robot Interaction in order to develop the concept of cooperative robotics, a fundamental element at the basis of the concept of industry 5.0.
