The first student-led video production group at Vassar College. VCTV creates engaging entertainment for the Vassar community covering a wide variety of genres from drama to comedy. VCTV was created so that Vassar students could participate in film production and simply be a part of a group of students who love to make films, shorts, and everything in between. VCTV works on large-scale, single idea productions and votes every semester whether to continue or move on to a different idea in order to keep things fresh. VCTV started as a group of 6 students and is now comprised of over 50 members, over half which are on set, producing, directing, writing, editing, and even acting! VCTV was certified as a Vassar Student Organization beginning in Spring 2014. VCTV recently started VCTV 2U as a means of providing a broader collection of entertainment for not only the Vassar community but the online community as well. Together, VCTV and VCTV 2U aim to provide a wealth of video content that spans a variety of genres with emphasis on production value, development, and creativity.
