Overamstel Uitgevers is an independent player in the Dutch book market, aiming to cover all aspects of publishing. The six imprints publish fiction, non-fiction, children's books, fantasy, young adult and thrillers. We sell our books through both traditional and non-traditional outlets, and also publish magazines and produce films. Although we are always on the lookout for interesting titles from abroad, we have many interesting Dutch titles suitable for translation. The six imprints each publish a maximum of 25 to 35 books a year, in order to give every title the attention it needs. Less is more, and, nowadays, less sells more! We love good books and we love selling them. Our focus is on strong PR and marketing. We work closely with all retailers of books in the Netherlands, and have built up strong relationships with all the key operators in the business.
