Since 1983, the Seattle Marine Business Coalition (SMBC) has been the principal champion and advocate for the marine industrial business sector in the city. Our all-volunteer organization is a strong proponent for the protection of industrial lands from encroachment by non-compatible uses. SMBC is a voice of reason on transportation and regulatory issues, and we collaborate to maintain the maritime and commercial fishing industry’s visibility among the elected officials, policymakers, and regulators who enact the laws and policy that affect our industry.
