Surf South Sri Lanka is based in Gurubebila Village between Midigama and Weligama, it’s a perfect location for you to get to some of the best southern surf points. Our own accommodation “Lion’s Rest” opened Jan 1 2014. Close to Gurubebila beach there are two local surf breaks Plantation point and Coconut point. Clean waves up to 6ft on a good day, peeling left and right from a reef point break to give you a 450m ride. Unlike some reefs this one is safe even for beginners. If you are up with the sun then it could be just you and the pole fisherman. Gurubebila is a quiet village so you really get to hang local. Maybe even catch and BBQ your own fish for supper, or relax with a beer to watch another epic sunset and we will do it for you.
