As an architect in the age of heightened global awareness, I have a self-imposed humane obligation to implement architectural design strategies to embrace the natural phenomenon; to celebrate the built/natural and indoor/outdoor spatial interaction; to resist natural destruction; to encourage social interaction; to ensure occupant comfort; to efficiently repurpose where possible; embrace modern technology. All projects have unique challenges that can be successfully overcome with a design composed of tried and true materials, innovative construction technologies, and knowledge of modern building science.
