Crafty Canuck Inc.

www.craftycanuck.com

Crafty Canuck is a small Canadian publisher specializing in young and first time authors of creative and educational children’s books. The company’s first book, ‘Louie the Lobster in What is a Friend?’ and was authored by the founders of Crafty Canuck. The Louie the Lobster series was designed to blend picture book imagery with advanced vocabulary and encourage higher thinking to address a ‘gap’ in children’s book for early readers (ages 4 -9). The company has subsequently launched its ‘Giving Back’ series in which all of the net proceeds from the sale of a 'Giving Back' title are sent directly back to the sponsoring charitable organization. We encourage charitable organizations to see how children books may be used as a medium for awareness, fund raising or both. The first book in the ‘Giving Back’ series is ‘Young Voices of the Nile’ in support of Total Family Outreach, an organization that, among other things, runs a local orphanage in Jinja, Uganda. ‘Young Voices’ provides over 20 young Ugandans to write about their lives and their country and hopefully share their stories with children around the world. All net proceeds from the sale of ‘Young Voices’ goes to support the work of Total Family Outreach.
