Jack Pijl and Associates
www.jackpijl.co.ukI am a Psychotherapist (UKCP accredited) and Executive Coach working with individuals and couples promoting mental wellbeing. My practice in Canary Wharf is a 3/4 min walk from West India Quay and Westferry DLR stations. I will work with you to make meaning of your internal struggles to understand them better by identifying their root causes. This is a collaborative process where I will provide you with a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your inner world and presenting issues. I believe strongly that therapy is a two-way process between client and therapist. Together we will design the therapeutic journey that is best suited for you. My role is to work with you to identify the most helpful shifts in thinking or behaviour and support you in the process of making changes. We may agree simple tasks or thinking to be done between sessions. I have experience with many conditions and concerns, including - but not limited to - low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, sexuality, identity, bereavement, grief, anger management, LGBTQI+/GSRD issues, couples and relationship difficulties. I have experience with mild level Personality Disorders such as Bipolar, Borderline, Obsessive Compulsive and Schizoid. I am trained in Transactional Analysis therapy and draw upon Psychodynamic and Relational models in my work. I am a member of the BACP. I have experience of working as a counsellor at MIND (the UK's largest mental health charity). I have also worked at a psychiatric hospital where l was part of a multidisciplinary team working with personality disorders providing complex care. I have over 15 years of experience working in the corporate world in a senior management capacity. Over this time, I have gained tremendous insight into the world of leadership and management. I understand work related issues such as stress, performance anxiety, and managing teams.
