Walk to Work vessels DP Gezina and DP Galyna In response to the growing renewables market, Chevalier Floatels introduced DP 2 offshore support vessels DP GEZINA and DP GALYNA, the world's first state-of-the-art onsite accommodation and walk-to-work vessels, to support maintenance and installation projects for the offshore wind, oil and gas industry, as well as for support of salvage and wreck removal operations. An Ampelmann personnel transfer platform and walkway, which actively compensates for all vessel motions, has been located at a position on the bridge deck that provides optimum safe access to platform entrances and working decks. Accomodation Barges Chevalier owns four accommodation barges for deployment in sheltered waters with additional office and recreational facilities. The shallow draft enables the barges to be moored at location close to the worksite, without additional travel time. Chevalier’s unique expertise is in developing new concepts for floating accommodations.
