Henderson-Hughes Health Partners (H3P) is a 501C3 public health nonprofit . We are dedicated to breaking down barriers to and in healthcare. The idea of H3P began in 2000 when our founder/Chief Executive Officer Venus Henderson-Hughes experienced the deaths of her grandmother and mother. The grandmother had Medicare coverage and was being care for by hospice however her mother who was a Medicaid patient was denied access to Hospice. It was then that Venus called to the capital and pleaded her mother's case and she was finally admitted to Hospice care. This experience was the foundation of H3P. After obtaining her Master of Public Health with the concentration of Public Health Program Development, Venus founded H3P so that no other person will experience the feeling of hopelessness when it comes to obtaining and understanding healthcare as well as the healthcare industry.
