www.klondikecorridor.orgFrom Seattle to Alaska to the Yukon, the Friends of the Klondike Corridor works with the National Parks, residents and businesses, to weave together the various Klondike related national historic sites in Canada and the United States that together present the whole romantic international story of the Klondike Gold Rush. We support U.S. and Canadian National Parks through fundraising and other activities to engage youth and adults in the rich history of this event. We have now partnered with the Go Klondike Group to organize cruise packages to the Yukon - thanks to our sponsors . The mission of both organizations is: To create an inclusive foundation to support Klondike National Historic Site’s: -Preservation, Historical programs, Educational material and programs, Marketing and Promotion, Scientific and Recreational purposes. From Seattle to Alaska to the Yukon, this will be done primarily through fund-raising, programming and consultation with stakeholders to weave together and promote the various Klondike related national historic sites in Canada and the United States that together present the whole romantic international story of the Klondike Gold Rush The goals of the organization are to: - Create a unified voice for the marketing of the Corridor (for historic sites and local businesses) - Increase awareness and education on the history and culture of the Corridor (through marketing and educational material) - Increase visitor services, experience opportunities and volumes (through product development) - Help to preserve historic buildings/artifacts for future visitors and generations (through increased usage and fundraising) - Provide a platform for local residents and businesses to support the Parks (through memberships, donations and activities) These are membership driven organizations funded through membership fees, donations, corporate sponsors and grants.
