For 15 years, Instituto Reação has been working to promote human development and social inclusion through sport and education, forming black belts on and off the mat. Founded by the Olympic medallist Flávio Canto, his coach Geraldo Bernardes and friends, the Institute came up with a proposal to promote true social change, by redefining judo as not just a sport, but a powerful tool for social and cultural development with vulnerable and at risk youth.
