Bancroft Contracting Corporation is a generational family owned heavy industrial general contracting firm headquartered in the western Maine town of South Paris, Maine. Al Bancroft founded the company in 1977. His son, Mark Bancroft, became president of the company in 2002 and purchased the company in 2004. Bancroft provides a comprehensive range of construction and industrial maintenance services to a variety of markets, but we are unique among general contractors because we self-perform much of the work. Projects include dams, powerhouses, electrical distribution substations, bridges, and large commercial and industrial building foundations. Bancroft employs a flexible workforce of seasoned construction professionals who choose to work in a merit shop environment. Crafts we specialise in, include code and structural welders, millwrights, pipe fitters, industrial electricians, riggers, ironworkers, form, frame and finish carpenters, crane and equipment operators, fence installers and skilled laborers. Bancroft works continuously throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Bancroft is also available to mobilize promptly to Massachusetts, New York, Southern New England and the Mid-Atlantic Region. On an occasional basis, Bancroft has performed services as far west as Chicago and as far south as Louisiana.
