Le Dimore del Quartetto s.r.l. Impresa Culturale Creativa
www.ledimoredelquartetto.euLe Dimore del Quartetto is a project bonding the satisfaction of excellent young string quartets’ needs with the enhancement of historic houses’ cultural heritage. Historic houses offer hospitality and spaces for rehearsing to musicians, in exchange for a final concert. This creates a virtuous circle, where houses become a precious resource for young music ensembles, and music creates value for houses, which become cultural centres for the community. Through Le Dimore del Quartetto, chamber music is performed in the venues for which it was originally conceived, and above all it attracts new audience and creates opportunities to meet in unusual spaces. The project supports emerging string quartets, selected by the artistic director Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona) at the beginning of their career. The project was born in 2015 in collaboration with the Association Italian Historic Houses; it is growing rapidly and aims at involving quartets and houses from all over Europe. The network: • 21 string quartets • 72 historic houses, spread over 12 Italian regions and 35 provinces • 250 days of study quartets spend in historic houses in 2017 • 80 concerts scheduled for 2017 • 4800 total spectators To discover more about next concerts and modalities of participation, check out our website www.ledimoredelquartetto.eu/?lang=en
