About the JSCV Joseph and Sarah Caring for Vets, Inc. is a 501(c) 3. We provide transitional housing for homeless veterans in the metro Atlanta area. JSCV was formed in 2010 by our Executive Director as a result of witnessing the growing number of veterans living day to day on the streets of Atlanta. We opened the doors of our first transitional house in March 2012. The home that we utilize was donated to our organization by a Korean War-era veteran, and the house is located in historic Vine City community of Atlanta GA. The organization is governed by a board of directors and managed by an Executive Director/CEO; we currently do not have any staff members. Our Mission To provide transitional housing and supportive services for homeless veterans that are located in the metro Atlanta area. In an effort to ameliorate homelessness among our veterans, our organization strives to assist fellow veterans in obtaining permanent housing, employment and life skills training. Our Vision To provide homeless veterans with the assistance necessary to ensure successful independent living.
