These are four major components that the Center for Career Services continues to incorporate in their mission while empowering students to achieve their career aspirations and personal development. Offering on-campus employment and paid internships through Career Services will encourage students to return every semester as it provides an opportunity to establish a solid foundation, engage with their peers, and build connections with the local community. The Center for Career Services also provides opportunities for students to develop critical professional skills applicable to any job, career, or industry as identified by the NACE competencies below: 1. Critical Thinking/Problem Solving 2. Oral/Written Communication 3. Teamwork/Collaboration 4. Digital Technology 5. Leadership 6. Professionalism/Work Ethic 7. Career Management 8. Global/Intercultural Fluency In return, students gain educational experience through student activities, community service, student employment, research projects, internships, and other opportunities while earning supplemental income to support their financial needs at college.
