www.utu.fiThe Bioanalytical Laboratory is dedicated to providing high-quality quantitative concentration data for both academic research groups and commercial customers. Our current list of assays includes more than 300 methods, and new test methods are being developed and validated on a continual basis in response to our partners' needs. The Bioanalytical Laboratory is located next to Turku University Hospital, Turku PET Centre, other universities, pharmaceutical companies and contract research providers in Turku. Our strategic location enables smooth collaboration with time-critical results. We utilize advanced sample preparation techniques and employ stable isotope internal standards for highly precise quantitation. Our scientific and technical expertise includes: - Diverse range of small molecules and their metabolites - Endogenous biomarkers - High sensitivity assays - Sample analysis in multiple biological species and matrices - Liquid Chromatography - Tandem Mass spectrometry - UV and fluorescence detection - Electrochemical detection Our comprehensive in-house Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and QA inspections ensure compliance with OECD Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines as well as both EMEA and FDA guidelines. The laboratory is regularly inspected by the Finnish Medicines Agency (Fimea). Sample analysis for clinical trials is conducted in accordance with GLP and GCP. The extensive experience has resulted in a deep understanding of regulatory guidelines, requirements and the evolving expectations for bioanalytical clinical data sets.
