Our mission is to empower students and professionals with the tools to advance healthcare technologies and improve patient care around the world. Blue LINC provides clinical immersion and hands-on training in medical innovation. We create teams of graduate student innovators with backgrounds in engineering, medicine, and business who are excited to collaborate together and solve real-world clinical problems that can serve the healthcare community. Teams undergo a repeatable process to identify relevant healthcare problems, invent and prototype novel solutions, and implement a strategy for launching a product that impacts patient care. Student innovators learn from a diverse array of clinicians, successful entrepreneurs, attorneys, FDA experts, and investors. This 8-month program is provided to UC San Diego students free of charge. At Blue LINC, student innovators will: LEARN about challenges in healthcare to identify unmet needs INNOVATE novel technological solutions to develop functional prototypes NETWORK with entrepreneurs, professors, industry leaders, and peers COLLABORATE with diverse talent to successfully launch a medical start-up Blue LINC - innovating the future of healthcare technology.
