APBRF aims to promote active interactions between American and Portuguese biomedical science research by: • Granting financial assistance to qualified scientists and graduate students. • Advocating science diplomacy between Portuguese and American Institutions. • Aiding scientists to set up their research programs in Portugal • Exchanging ideas, resources, connections, and opportunities The Fund has raised over one and a half million dollars in support, and sponsored over 30 fellows. Many of which are now distinguished scientists in the United States, Portugal, and other European Countries.
