Launched in 1997 with a print run of 500 art boards, we took samples to Atlanta's DragonCon and handed out free pages to artists in Artist Alley. The response was enthusiastically positive. Since then, Eon has grown to be known as the premium art board for comic book artists. We produce 3 surface types, Plate (ultra smooth surface), Smooth, and Vellum (toothy surface). Our most popular board for comics is the Eon HD Plate 130 lb board. In 2014 we launched Eon Vortex Ink, a matte black ink tested to perform beautifully with Eon art boards (as well as other art boards). In 2019, we won the business to produce custom branded art boards for one of the world's largest comics publishers.
