The RWTH Center for Artificial Intelligence brings together researchers from 75 institutes conducting AI research at the highest international level. Powered by a strong core of methodological research, the RWTH AI faculty covers a broad spectrum of AI application areas, with a focus on engineering disciplines and life sciences. Research on legal, ethical, societal, and economic aspects of AI completes this profile. This comprehensive coverage enables close integration and interdisciplinary collaboration – drivers for innovation and key prerequisites for responsible and inclusive research. The AI Center bundles and strengthens the existing competences in order to establish RWTH University as one of the leading university locations for AI research in Germany - with worldwide visibility.
