History: The Poudre School District Global Academy was launched through a collaborative effort of Poudre School District leaders. Striving to meet the needs of 21st century learners, PSD met its goal to open a truly innovative online / hybrid school, enrolling our first student in August 2009. During our second year, PGA was selected as a National Best Practice school for blended learning. PGA is recognized for student growth results topping the state at all grade levels, and PGA continues to win accolades as a Clayton Christensen "Proof Points School," Colorado's John Irwin School of Excellence, and subject of published white papers in EdWeek and digital Forbes. Philosophy: PGA provides high-quality, interactive education for students in grades K to 12. Accessible anytime and anywhere, students are met at his or her academic level and learning pace, while providing relevant skills and knowledge for success in the 21st century. With more than 150 core subject and elective classes, students and parents have the freedom to choose a course load that is as individualized and enjoyable as possible.
