The features that make it unique are its trilingualism in teaching and research, its high level of internationalisation as well as an ideal study environment guaranteed by its excellent facilities. The university has five faculties, and a high percentage of lecturers (35%) and students (17%) come from abroad and they study, teach and do research in the fields of Economics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Education and Design. We have 3,600 students registered to more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. In national rankings, our university reaches top positions every year. In 2017, for the fourth consecutive year, the Italian Research Centre for Social Studies Censis has ranked our university as number one among smaller private universities (less than 5,000 students). In the 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings unibz ranked in the band of 301—350 this year out of 1,102 institutions worldwide. Our strongest pillars were "Citations" (88.6) and "International outlook" (68.9). In Italy we are on the 6th position out of 39 universities ranked. In the 2017 World’s Best Small Universities Ranking unibz was ranked among the best 10 small universities worldwide.
