Queens University - Employment Relations Programs

www.queensu.ca

Queen’s University has a long-standing commitment to teaching and research in industrial relations. Undergraduate Studies: The undergraduate program consists of five courses that lead to a Certificate in Employment Relations. The undergraduate Certificate in Employment Relations provides a broad foundation in the field of employment relations, and forms the basis for a recognized university credential that will support students who are seeking entry level jobs in labour relations and human resources management after leaving Queen’s. Graduate Studies: The graduate program is a Master’s degree program designed to prepare students for a variety of outstanding career opportunities in employment relations, including careers in industrial and labour relations, human resources management, teaching, and consulting in IR/HR. Our programs attract recent graduates into the full-time MIR program, as well as career employees, with work experience into the Professional MIR Program (PMIR). Since the MIR was established in 1982, more than 1000 Queen’s MIR graduates have gone on to contribute significantly to advancing employment relations in private and public sector organizations, both in Canada and abroad.
