With the approval of the University Grants Commission, University of South Asia was established 20 years ago, in 2003, having the philosophy of inclusivity through education at an affordable cost. Our mission is to transform higher education from primarily being a lecture-based one to an interactive learning experience that would equip graduates with Community, Communication, Connectivity and Career. In Bangladesh, we are one of the handful of universities who have our Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and Treasurer, approved from president of Bangladesh. Our University boasts fully digitalized classrooms with multimedia support, an auditorium as well as a female common room. To equip our students with practical skills, we have computer labs, textile lab, physics lab, chemistry lab and a wet processing lab. Furthermore, our library is maintained using digital software and is home to over 4,000 books. We have a large campuses in Amin Bazar, Savar, Dhaka. This campus has playing fields, play zone, gym and other facilities. For nurturing the growth of our students, we have IEEE membership, Debate Club, South Asia Business and Entrepreneurship Club, AIDD, regular textile factory visits, public health workshops and therapy trainings, seminars and symposiums. Our faculty members as well as students have international research paper publications as well as conference proceedings. We also have credit transfer abroad as well as job placement facilities through our Leadership and Career Development Center. We offer 3 diploma, 6 undergraduate and 7 post-graduate programs across our 4 schools.
