At Gaborone Toastmasters club, we are dedicated to helping our members improve their speaking skills in a friendly and supportive environment. The Toastmasters program helps them develop at their own pace, through a structured program of talks. We are open to anyone wishing to improve their public speaking skills, from the novice who wants to overcome their fear to the pro who needs to sharpen their delivery. Our programs cover many different areas of speaking, communication and leadership. Beginners wanting to overcome their nervousness about public speaking. Seasoned speakers wanting to greatly improve their public speaking skills. Anyone wanting to gain confidence in speaking before a group. In Toastmasters, you learn by practicing how to prepare and give a speech, and you will receive helpful, friendly evaluations that help you improve with each talk. You can also practice impromptu, or "off the cuff", speaking for those situations when you can't prepare ahead of time. Speaking in this friendly club environment, with helpful feedback, will help you become more comfortable speaking in front of groups. Toastmasters can also help you develop leadership skills with opportunities to work with others. Gaborone Toastmasters Club founded in 1992, meets in Thornhill primary in Gaborone and is the oldest club in Botswana.
