www.fic.org.rsWhat is FIC? - The Foreign Investors Council in Serbia (FIC) - Established in 2002 is an independent business association that gathers foreign companies which operate in Serbia. - Promotes sound business ethics - Has around 120 members, gathering expertise from various sectors and industries - Data from 2017: FIC members invested €34 billion and employ 97,500 employees in Serbia What does it promote? - Actively promotes and develops predictable, competitive, and sustainable business environment, through open dialogue with the Authorities and other relevant stakeholders - Gives concrete and practical recommendations on how to improve business climate - Never stands behind interests of specific company or a business group - Actively supports economic integration to EU and has a unique capability to be a private sector focal point in the EU integration process as over 74% of members come from EU What does it do? - Channels efforts, expertise and ideas within 10 specialized working committees that gather representatives of member companies. There are 7 cross-sectoral - Legal, Tax, HR, Digital& E-commerce, Anti-Illicit Trade, Infrastructure& Industrialization, and Real-Estate and 3 sectoral - Food and Agriculture, Telecommunications& IT, and Leasing& Insurance. - Publishes annual edition of the White Book, which gives the blueprint of Serbian business climate and valuable set of recommendations on how to improve it. It is a transparent platform for dialogue with the authorities and stakeholders - Shows tangible and measurable results: White Book features ranking and the score card system which track implementation of recommendations given in previous year. White Book 2017 marks that 33% of recommendations achieved certain or significant progress (150 out of 456) - Interlinks with numerous Government institutions, as well as stakeholders from the multinational environment, in order to present findings and suggestions of foreign companies that do business in Serbia
