Our major outreach project to universities cover among other things seminars on; Economic Freedom or freedom to provide for oneself, Social Freedom or freedom to choose how to live one’s life and Intellectual or Academic Freedom. - UHURU STUDENTS CONFERENCE For two days starting next year, hundreds of students and student leaders from around East Africa will descend into Dar es Salaam, to discuss and debate all of the available avenues for bringing about a freer future in the first ever Uhuru Students Conference (USC). Is social change best created outside of the political realm altogether through entrepreneurial innovations like those which make up the sharing economy? These are the discussions that will shape the future, and we are the generation having them. - IDEAS FOR A FREE SOCIETY CD Because of the limited access there is to texts that explore and explain the principles and foundations of a free society in many countries around the world our organization duplicates a mini-library on CD in English created by Network for A Free Society. Although these are fairly old fashioned technology they are relatively cheap to send and make texts available in countries where Internet connection maybe too slow or expensive to be widely useful and available. Some are short books, some are parts of books or articles. Authors include Bastiat, Smith, Mill, Mises, Hayek, Friedman and many more. - BOOK TRANSLATIONS & PUBLICATIONS UIPE arranges scholarly translations and publication of important books and articles that make the principles of free markets, individual liberty, limited government and peace available to new readerships in Tanzania and across Swahili speaking communities all over Africa.
