GK Technology, Inc. is a nationwide precision agricultural software and mapping service provider with employees based in MN, ND, SD and WY. We provide GPS enabled software for soil sampling, variable rate application and topography/watershed management and we also provide variable rate and yield data processing services. Our software solutions improve on-farm profits, and packages are scaled for crop consultants, fertilizer dealers and farmers. Producers, crop consultants, and ag-input providers can use our software for site specific soil sampling, variable rate seed and fertilizer applications, yield data processing and topography mapping. Several patents are held for GK’s other ventures including SD Drain for height and depth control of scrapers and tile plows, and Global Plot Management a layout, design, planting and harvesting for seed testing and development . GK Technology produces a user friendly, agronomy based, GIS package for use in a wide range of precision agriculture practices. The software can be used for both grid and zone management derived from imagery (aerial and satellite), yield data (fruit and vegetable), soil samples, soil EC data, topography and more. The software can also be used for GPS guided travel, zone soil and tissue sampling, variable rate application control and variable rate prescription creation, and for land watershed management. The software can process raw LIDAR data (.LAS files), as well as RTK data from numerous vendors, to create overland, and tile, drainage installation plans. These plans can then imported into machine control systems for earthmoving and tile installation operations.
