Avishkar Hyperloop is an internationally acclaimed student team from IIT Madras focused on revolutionising transportation with sustainable Hyperloop technologies - backed by the Indian Government! Last July, we developed our latest pod which had upgrades such as contactless propulsion with improved efficiency, contactless braking, and was designed for a custom track that supports levitation. We also finished in the global top-5 at the European Hyperloop Week (EHW) 2022, bagging nominations in Traction systems, Electrical systems, and the Complete Pod category. This year, we aim to build and test our completely contactless pod in our upcoming 500m long-2m dia Hyperloop vacuum tube facility at IIT Madras. The upcoming facility and a Centre of Excellence for Hyperloop Research will be developed in collaboration with the Indian Railways, and the MoU for the same has already been signed. Upon its commissioning next year, the facility will be the world's largest student-run Hyperloop testing facility, making India a global centre of Hyperloop research. #LeapOntoTheLoop!
