Stade Geneve, founded in 1916, has more than 800 members and is one of the largest track&field clubs in Switzerland. It counts talented athletes and also has a dynamic track&field academy as well as a section of amateur road runners, the "Gobe Bitume". The Stade Geneve is also recognized for its organizational skills: created in 1978, the Course de l'Escalade has become an institution. It has been Switzerland's most popular event of its kind for almost 40 years. On the other hand, every 2 years, Stade Geneve organizes Swiss Championships in different categories.
