Our DNi Process™ is a ground-breaking, patent-protected method for extracting nickel, cobalt and other constituent metals contained in laterite ore. Maximising extraction, minimising cost, realising the polymetallic value in earth’s lateritic resources, the DNi Process™ will almost double the world’s nickel reserves because it can profitably process lower Ni grades by extracting all the contained metals – generating almost twice the revenue of existing processes. A SIMPLER, SAFER ALTERNATIVE The DNi Process™ delivers nickel and cobalt in the form of a mixed hydroxide product (MHP) which is the preferred feed material for refineries supplying EV battery manufacturers. The only other established source of MHP is the high-pressure acid leach (HPAL) technology, which is extremely complex, unreliable and costly compared with the simpler flowsheet of the DNi Process™. A GREENER SOLUTION - NO TOXIC TAILINGS From ore acceptance to disposal of the leach residue, the DNi Process™ has minimal impact on the environment because over 95% of the nitric acid used is recovered and recycled enabling the leach residue to be returned to the mine. It also retains a small amount of magnesium nitrate which encourages the growth of native plants. Furthermore, the process delivers magnesium oxide without the production of carbon dioxide. A SOURCE OF POWER. A FORCE FOR CHANGE. THE TIME IS NOW. The DNi Process™ has been developed over the last 12 years and is now ideally and uniquely placed to take advantage of the surging demand for nickel which is being driven by the electric vehicle (EV) battery industry. The DNi Process™ is: • Proven • Environmentally friendly • Economically competitive, and • Gaining wide acceptance from producers and end-users Altilium is now working with Queensland Pacific Metals Ltd (ASX:QPM) https://www.qpmetals.com.au - to develop the first commercial DNi Process™ plant in Queensland.
