Client / investors can use us as a gateway to appoint one or more SEBI-registered PMs and expect us to be by their side along the journey at no extra cost. Our services are cost neutral to the end client. We do not charge any fees to our end clients as we are gratified by PMs we represent. We help clients understand the PM’s investment philosophy, how he structures the portfolio, how he decides entry and exit, his thought process on value versus growth, no. of stocks in the portfolio and more to build conviction on a PM before appointment. Conviction is the cornerstone of client-PM relationship. It gives longevity to the relationship and allows the client to do follow-on buying at the direction of the PM. Eventually, this leads to alpha-generation. If clients appoint a PM through the conventional ways either due to brand, past performance or word of mouth -- they may select a PM but will continue to judge his every action and will take 2-3 years to build conviction or end-up truncating the relationship. This does not help neither of the three parties – client, PM nor us. Additionally, we perform a diligent CRM function, needed to cement client-PM relationship. Every client has a different thought process and ideas / concerns that he would want to bounce-off on someone with a congruent thought process. Equity Math is spearheaded by Shshank Mehta, who has relevant work experience. He was a Sales and CRM Director with a sebi-registered PM and had the opportunity to deal with resident PMS clients as well as NRI – PMS clients. He has seen the swings in the market and corresponding changes in temperament of clients / investor and know how to help clients not budge in situations where everything seems uncertain.
