CANCER ASSOCIATION OF NAMIBIA (WO30) a Section 21 NGO and registered welfare organisation based Namibia with the distinct aim to create awareness and educate on cancer, provide support services to effectively screen for, and support cancer patients during their cancer journey. Established by the late Dr A Bernhard May in 1968, the Cancer Association of Namibia has several programmes to strengthen the fight on cancer in Namibia, including the establishment and management of the Namibia National Cancer Registry (NNCR). A fully self-sustaining organisation, the CAN relies on fundraisers, donations, projects for fundraising and a medical business model that allows access to quality screening and accommodation services for cancer, while generating funds to sustain operations.
