We are a community of politically moderate women who came together in 2019 to learn how to make a difference in our democracy. Our members rely on us to be their go-to source for carefully curated education, content and training – all within the confines of our friendly and approachable BigTent. WHAT WE STAND FOR: Effective governance Decent, truthful and ethical leadership Positive, solutions-oriented outlook OUR AREAS OF FOCUS: Equality, justice, and opportunity for all Democratic ideals (e.g., voting rights) Trending public policy issues (e.g., gun safety, women’s health WHAT WE DO: EDUCATE We host virtual events that provide our members with access to organizations, thought leaders, and change makers whose work supports our values. SPOTLIGHT SPEAKER SERIES Evening events held twice a month, featuring a presentation from select thought-leaders, authors, politicians and more, followed by a Q&A. Guests have the opportunity to follow up after the calls. TENT TALKS Discussions and presentations held twice a month during the day, offering a more intimate format than our Spotlight Series with personalized conversations and community-building among members. CURATED RESOURCES Check out our website for suggestions on newsletters we like to read, podcasts we listen to, and other events we attend. ADVOCACY WORKSHOPS Working with our In-Residence Advocate, Jessica Craven, we offer our members virtual training in our own private Zoom-room where beginner or expert members who care about activism feel comfortable and secure learning the art of advocacy in 2021. ENGAGEMENT EVENTS In order to support specific campaigns and policy initiatives, we offer virtual opportunities via a private Zoom-room for our members to reach out to voters via texts, letters and phone calls. Members share experiences and help each other learn, while participating from home and working at their own pace.
