The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences (FAMS) was established in 2000. There are 60 faculty members teaching in 9 different disciplines; Allied Dental Sciences, Dental Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Optometry, and Radiological Sciences, and Paramedics as well as Master’s degress in Medical Laboratory Science, Physical Therapy and Clinical Rehabilitation Sciences. FAMS is always engaged in various academic and community activities such as seminars, workshops, one-day scientific days, one-day field demonstrations, among others. Additionally, many fruitful relationships have been initiated with various local, regional, and international institutes. FAMS also has a number of sponsored students who are pursuing graduate studies leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various majors at highly-reputable universities in the USA, UK, and Australia. Upon graduation, they will join the Faculty.
