Since 1981, Southern Rhode Island Volunteers has developed a community of 600+ volunteers who aid in serving the needs of 500 local seniors and 20,000 residents through partnerships in Washington County. Our mission is to enhance lives by inspiring, creating, and supporting a lifelong culture of service through our volunteer members and affiliates across southern Rhode Island. Southern Rhode Island Volunteers provides a supportive foundation for volunteerism by providing: (1) volunteer resources in the southern part of the state; (2) quality, meaningful, and appropriate service opportunities to the citizens of this area; and (3) health care access, nutrition support, and services to alleviate elder isolation as well as disabled adults in need of independent living services.
