Since 2013, the German Start-up LEEF offers disposable tableware and packaging made from palm leaves. LEEF products are not only 100% natural, untreated and compostable, but also produced in a sustainable and fair way. Plastic pollution has become a serious problem worldwide. EU legislation taking first meassures to ban disposable plastic items up from 2021. Many other nations do the same, some sooner, some later. LEEF taps into the need for environmental-friendly solutions that allow people to maintain their habits of celebrating outside and enjoying food in nature without contributing to environmental degradation.
