The Sustainability Science Center (SSC) is a not-for-profit organization set on furthering the development of sustainability practices on a global scale, operating in both the educational and scientific spheres. Whether it be economic or environmental, achieving effective sustainability practices in any setting, large or small, is not something that can be done without teamwork—the SSC exists to form working partnerships centered around education, training, and research on various disciplines of sustainability. It is through these partnerships that the SSC defines its work. Without the ability to cooperate with multiple organizations ranging from the local to the international scale, the SSC’s vision of developing socially responsible communities would be difficult. For example, the SSC’s own gasification test system was a donation by the United States Air Force. The efforts of those who would dedicate their time and resources to the SSC increase the potential for the SSC’s vision to manifest. The researchers and staff at the SSC are wholly committed to developing socially responsible solutions in sustainability science and incorporating them on a global scale, aiming to be an outlet for global corporations, industry leaders, municipalities, and other areas of academia to improve their social responsibility through sustainable policies and shared research on this topic. #Sustainability #PlasticWaste #Energy #Education #Training #Water
