The European Migraine and Headache Alliance is a non-profit, patient umbrella group which was launched in 2006. Since then, the Alliance has grown to represent 25 patient groups from across the continent. The development of European umbrella organisations is a natural progression with more relevance for European nations. EMHA is an active member of the European Federation of Neurological Alliances [EFNA], the International Association of Patient Organisations [IAPO], the European Patients Forum [EPF] and also works closely with organisations such as the European Headache Federation [EHF], European Brain Council [EBC] and others.
