The IIDM is a well established organization in the country, working in the area of development research with most modern research, management & communication tools in Health & Hospital Sector. Indian Institute of Development Management was established in the year 1996 at Bhopal as a development communication, M&E, consulting, training & research in health & family welfare sector mainly in Reproductive & Child Health (RCH), Nutrition & Health Communication. It was registered as Society for Institute of Development Management under MP Govt. Societies Act 1973 at Bhopal in the year 1999-2000 with registration No Bho/ Hosh. 7652 dated 9th Feb 2000. The Institute is dedicated to M&E, Development Communication, Health Systems Research in RCH & Family Welfare Sector. It is managed by an Executive Committee headed by eminent development professional under the governance of its General Body consisting of development professionals from various sectors of development. IIDM is a premier action research agency & carried out long term action research for reducing Maternal Mortality in MP, sponsored by DANIDA and another for reduction of Neo Natal Mortality using PPP Approach in MP, Sponsored by ICMR, GOI, . Mother & Child Survival project for CARE India/ CIDA in Harda MP & a few more studies on RCH. Additionally it has carried out around 100 evaluation studies in various sectors of development including 3 large Health Surveys in the country namely NRHM-CE, AHS, DLHS-4, LASI in MP & CG. In addition IIDM has carried out interventions & evaluation studies for HRD Division of MNRE, GOI in addition to completing evaluation studies for DARPG, MoPP&G, GOI, MoHFW, GOI recently. It had carried out more than 10 impact evaluation studies on women health, RCH-II in Mizoram, ICDS-II, ICDS-3 (in 15 sampled states) & understand the functioning of Ministry of Women & Child Development & MoHFW, GOI. Institute undertakes operational research in the management of development interventions.
