We endeavor to produce and offer replicas of history that benefit everyone. Historical Folk Toys began in 2004 under the direction of Julie Harris (the Head Elf), who has been designing dolls, crafts and craft kits since 1976. Each and every one of our employees (elves) is an accomplished craftsperson in their own right, and takes special care at every stage of the development process to ensure quality. Together, we elves find "magic" designing and producing fun, discovery items for others to enjoy and grow. Our motto is "Explore the past and journey into tomorrow." This is because we believe that everyone (especially young children) should have the opportunity to experience and learn from their ancestors' (as well as other cultures') historical arts and crafts. In doing so, they will come to appreciate what the world was once like and, more importantly, what their own capabilities can be.
