Launched in 2009, COCO LIBERACE has quickly made its mark as an up and coming jewellery label on the Sydney fashion scene. Started from the search for the perfect cocktail ring for his wife, the lack of choice soon forced John Ullo to look overseas. The lack of choice and pushed by his wife, Nicolle, to feed her addition for costume jewellery, the couple decided to start their own label. John and Nicolle take their inspiration from what’s happening on the overseas catwalks, their clients and the streets of Sydney. They design with glamour and edginess to create a statement for the COCO LIBERACE woman, who is not a certain age or demographic but has a certain attitude. She wears fashion with confidence and dresses to make a statement and get noticed. She doesn't follow fashion but is never out fashion, she has her own style and flair. The name COCO LIBERACE is a combination of two great icons that represent what the brand is all about. COCO is a reference to the French fashion designer Coco Chanel, who was one of the first designers to introduce costume jewellery to the world. LIBERACE comes from the childhood fantasy that Nicolle had with the flamboyant Mr Liberace, his ring on every finger was the start of Nicolle’s ring obsession. From the combination of two great names comes one great brand, COCO LIBERACE. COCO LIBERACE helping the world be more glamorous.
