Comunitaria.com allows the exclusive donation of fresh products with "smart money" that promotes neighbourhood commerce in areas with a high level of social exclusion. Instead of donating money to a person or an NGO, you pre-purchase fresh products (fruit, vegetables, meat, fish...) from a local shop in a disadvantaged neighbourhood. This pre-purchase is deposited (as at Caffè Sospeso) and its equivalent is distributed in "digital euro vouchers" to people in need (designated by the social services or local NGOs) who can pay for fresh produce with their mobile phone without having a bank account or card.
