CAUCE (Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email) is an all-volunteer advocacy organization that is focused on defending the interests of users and preventing abuse. We were formed in March 2007 from a merger between CAUCE US, and CAUCE Canada. Our mission is to protect the privacy of internet users and to prevent the abuse of electronic communication. We do this by advocating for strong laws and regulations that protect users and by providing education and resources to the broader community. CAUCE is an entirely volunteer-run organization. We are supported by a network of dedicated individuals who are passionate about defending the interests of users and preventing abuse. Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and have a variety of expertise and experience with a cumulative century of experience in the field of Internet advocacy. We are committed to working with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and other organizations to promote responsible and ethical practices in the use of electronic communication.
